Parentage (DNA) Testing
Parentage or DNA testing has become more common where there is a dispute about the paternity of a child. This test can be done with or without a Court Order. There are a number of clinics in Queensland that specialise in this area.
If you believe that you are not the biological parent of a child then a DNA test will help you prove this.
If you believe that you are the biological parent of a child but you do not have proof of parentage (for example, your name is not on the Birth Certificate) then we can assist you to apply to the Family Court for a declaration of parentage.
